AI for Magento · Lead Magento 2 developer · Adobe Commerce Expert certified

AI in your Magento store.
Start with a fixed-price pilot.

I connect Claude and OpenAI models to your Magento 2 catalogue, search and back office, with a human check where it matters. We start on a slice of your data, measure the result against today, and scale only what pays off.

Where AI earns its keep in a Magento store

Not a chatbot bolted onto the homepage. These are the four places where I see AI save real hours or bring in real orders for mid-market merchants, each built into Magento rather than next to it.

Catalogue content at scale

Product descriptions, translations into your store languages, attributes pulled from supplier spreadsheets and PDFs, and SEO titles and meta descriptions, for thousands of SKUs. Written in your tone from your own data, checked in a review queue before anything is published, and written back into Magento or your PIM through the API.

Search and a shopping assistant

Search that understands what customers mean, not only the words they type, and an assistant that answers product, delivery and order questions from your catalogue, FAQs and policies. It respects stock, customer groups and B2B price lists, because it reads them from Magento.

A catalogue AI shopping agents can read

Buyers increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini and similar assistants what to buy, and the major commerce platforms, Adobe Commerce included, have committed to the emerging agent shopping protocols. What you control today is data: complete attributes, accurate prices and stock, clean product feeds and structured data. I get those right, so your products can be found when the agents look.

Less manual work in the back office

Support tickets sorted and answered in draft, order-status questions handled automatically, B2B quote requests turned into draft quotes, and product data cleaned of duplicates and gaps. Every automated step is logged, so you can see what it did and why.

What the pilot includes

One use case, one fixed price, and a decision at the end based on numbers, not on a demo.

  • Use case and baseline We pick one use case and measure how it works today: time per product, translation cost, search exit rate or ticket handling time.
  • Data access and privacy A read-only API user with only the access the use case needs, business API terms that exclude training on your data, and a data processing agreement. Customer personal data stays out unless the use case truly needs it.
  • Built for your catalogue Your tone of voice, product terminology, claims you must not make, and the attributes that matter in your category, written into the prompts and checks.
  • A real run Typically a few hundred products, one category in all store languages, or a month of support tickets, processed end to end.
  • Human review and quality numbers A review queue where your team accepts, edits or rejects each result. We measure the acceptance rate and the time saved.
  • Built into Magento Results written back through the Magento API or into your PIM, with a simple admin view of what changed, and nothing published without approval.
  • Running cost per item The model cost per product, translation or ticket on your data, so you know what scaling would cost before you decide.
  • Hand-over and decision Code in your repository, documentation, and a written recommendation: scale up, adjust, or stop.

How it works

  1. 30-minute call

You describe where time or revenue leaks. I tell you which use case is worth a pilot, and which is not.

  2. Pilot, two to four weeks

Access, prompts and checks built for your store, then a real run on your data with your team reviewing the results.

  3. Measure

Quality, time saved and running cost against the baseline, in a short written report.

  4. Scale or stop

If it pays off, we roll it out to the full catalogue or process at a fixed price. If not, you keep the code and the findings.

What it costs

The pilot is fixed-price. The roll-out is quoted after the pilot, when we both know the numbers.

What moves the price

The number of store languages, how scattered your product data is across Magento, PIM, ERP and supplier files, integrations with a helpdesk or search provider, and B2B rules such as customer-specific catalogues.

Running costs

Model usage is billed by Anthropic or OpenAI directly to your account, so the data and the bill stay yours. For product content it is usually a small fraction of what a copywriter or translation agency charges per item; the pilot measures the exact figure on your data.

Questions about AI in Magento

Which AI models do you use?

Claude from Anthropic and GPT models from OpenAI, through their business APIs, chosen per task: one model may be better at long product copy, another cheaper for bulk attribute work. Where possible they run on your own API accounts, so you are never locked to me.

Will our data be used to train AI models?

No. Both providers’ business API terms exclude using your inputs and outputs for training by default. On top of that the pilot uses read-only, minimal access, keeps customer personal data out unless the use case needs it, and comes with a data processing agreement.

Does Adobe Commerce not do this already?

Adobe Commerce includes some AI-powered services, such as product recommendations and Live Search. Magento Open Source and Mage-OS do not. Either way, most of the work that saves time, such as content in your tone, translations, data clean-up and back-office automation, is specific to your catalogue and processes, and that is what the pilot builds.

Can my products appear in ChatGPT or Gemini?

AI assistants already recommend products, and the standards for agents that also complete the purchase are still settling. Nobody can promise placement. What makes a real difference is complete, accurate and machine-readable product data, and that part I can deliver and measure.

What if the pilot does not work?

Then you have spent a fixed, small amount to find out, and you keep the code, the numbers and the written findings. There is no long contract attached to a pilot.

Tell me where AI could help

Send your store URL and a few lines about the task that eats your team’s time. I reply within one business day with a suggestion for a pilot, or a straight answer if AI is not the right tool for it.
